Queen

Profile:
Queen is a British rock band formed in London in 1970 from the previously disbanded Smile (6) Rock band. Originally called Smile, later in 1970 singer Freddie Mercury came up with the new name for the band. John Deacon joined in March 1971 giving them their fourth and final bass player.

The band has released a total of 18 number-one albums, 18 number-one singles and 10 number-one DVDs, and have sold over 300 million albums worldwide, making them one of the world's best-selling music artists. They have been honoured with seven Ivor Novello awards and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001.

Lead singer Freddie Mercury died in November 1991 of AIDS-related complications. A year after his death, in April 20 1992 held a tribute concert for the lead singer to commemorate his life featuring all three remaining members and along with many great guest singers and guitarists.

Since the death of Freddie Mercury in 1991, Brian May and Roger Taylor continued as various "Queen+" incarnations. John Deacon has retired from the music business, and opted out of almost all post-Mercury Queen activities, saying "As far as we are concerned, this is it. There is no point carrying on. It is impossible to replace Freddie".

If there's something i'd ought to call a god's intention it would have been Queen. It's a black magic how they've stayed true to themselves as cult leaders of the mainstream whilst at the same time being avant-garde in some instances. They did beyond achievable - challenged audiences, mocked the journalists, crafted provocative satire, made stadium and personal anthems, combined rock with opera, experimented with drastically different formats, revolutionized approach to singles and music videos. They are suitable for any ages or musical tastes. Each band member is equally important with once a living legend Farrokh Bulsara - a.k.a Freddie Mercury - as a frontman. Arguably, the greatest vocalist to walk the Earth. Incredibly charismatic, sincere, passionate and smart. But their bass player John Deacon has always been my favorite for maintaining the band's tech and stability. Plus he wrote two songs among my most beloved by Queen - "Spread Your Wings" and "I Want To Break Free".

I don't know what's going on here but there's too much rubbish with lots of miscellaneous items between the Queen albums. Queen II came before Sheer Heart and they're in the wrong order. Flash and The Game also wrong. It should be strictly Queen albums. There are 15 studio albums and 7 official live albums now. Anything not official should be unlisted as it's a radio promo or a bootleg.

I wish someone would sort the albums out, so many releases in the wrong lists. It gets hard to find what your looking for, for needing to go through pages of live and other random releases.

There should be a separate area for Unofficial releases. It's getting cluttered with bootlegs and illegal pressings.

Discogs has always been a mess when it comes to listing the artists' albums according to date of release. If EVERYONE were to start listing the albums for example, as 1975a, 1975b, etc., then it would be in order. It's simple and should've been done this way long ago.

Maybe someone can answer me this: Why is Queen - Greatest Hits listed in the categorie of Albums and Queen - Greatest Hits II listed in the categorie of Compilations. In my opinion it would make more sense that both LPs needs to be listed as compilations.
