Guns N' Roses is an American hard rock band formed in 1985 in Los Angeles, California. In 1987 'Appetite For Destruction' became the biggest selling debut album in history.

The band was founded by W. Axl Rose and Izzy Stradlin', along with Tracii Guns, Rob Gardner and Ole Beich, with Axl Rose being the only constant member throughout the band's history.

I remember that GUNS N' ROSES were enormously popular and successful in the end of 1980's and the first quarter of 1990's.

My favorite release from them is their 1st album from 1987 and my second favorite released from them is their double EP from 1988 (which includes their first studio release, their EP from 1986), and there are some great and good songs from their 3rd and 2nd albums (which were released simultaneously in 1991) that are on the music level of their 1st album.

IMO what distinguished GUNS N' ROSES from other hard rock bands is that they merged elements of punk in their music regarding many songs tempos on their first 3 studio releases (from 1986, 1987 and 1988)!

Who labeled Guns N’ Roses as a Hard Rock/Glam band? They were in no ways glam. They are known as the band that killed glam. Hard Rock/Heavy Metal is what they are. Mainly Hard Rock. Def not glam. Do these guys look like Poison? No.

This band is the one-hit wonder of Rock N Roll. They made 1 good album, Appetite for Destruction, and everything after that was trash.

In the early days they were great. My favorite is Use Your Illusion I. Appetite... is great too but i played it too much. My parents' favorite band actually! How funny is that?
